Furnace Filter Boring Product
A furnace filter is the flat or pleated filter that protects the blower and heat exchanger in a forced-air furnace from dust, hair and debris. It is bought by homeowners, landlords and HVAC contractors, usually several at a time, and chosen almost entirely by nominal size and thickness. Nobody forms a relationship with a furnace filter. The product is boring because the specification that matters is a measurement, and because the consequence of skipping it stays invisible until airflow drops or the blower starts working harder. Guidance usually suggests changing it every one to three months during heating season, and more often in dusty homes or homes with pets.

Boring is a property of how something is bought, not how it is made. What makes a product boring explains the test.
