HVAC Air Filter Boring Product
An HVAC air filter is a pleated panel that sits in the return duct of a forced-air heating or cooling system and traps dust before it reaches the blower and the evaporator coil. Homeowners, landlords and property managers buy them in multi-packs and swap them out on a schedule that has nothing to do with brand: whichever size and MERV rating is in stock usually wins. It is boring because the product is defined by dimensions and fit rather than features, and because nobody reads about air filters for pleasure. Replacement intervals are commonly quoted as every one to three months depending on pets, occupancy and filter thickness, so pack size matters more than the label.

Boring is a property of how something is bought, not how it is made. What makes a product boring explains the test.
